Here is my project
It started life as a huge, blank MDF heart and then i added some beautifully patterned paper by Papermania that i fell in love with. I attached the glue to the heart then laid it down onto the back of the paper, tearing away at the edges to give it a distressed look.
I then proceeded to add a burnished look to it using Ranger ink in a coffee colour. I then raided my embellishment stash (which is growing enormous by the day i may add !!) for lovely ephemera (love that word) and did several 'dry' runs as to see where best to place the goodies i'd chosen,
And Voila !!!
Hope you like?
Thanks for popping by and please leave some comments. They will be gratefully recieved.

This is absolutely fabulous, so glad you've found friends you can trust - it's soimportant at certain times of our lives x
ReplyDeleteI do like, especially how you chose to tear the background paper around the edges of the heart piece.

ReplyDeleteJo.. what a beautiful tribute to those in your life that you can truly call friends. Your right, it isn't the quantity but the quality. Love the lavender colors and the use of the scrabble tiles is so cute.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The torn paper coordinates so well with your embellishments! Love the doily peeking out from behind the tag!
ReplyDeleteI understand your reticence with "friends". I think it is so difficult in this rather cold world.
ReplyDeleteThe cream and lavender on your plaque work so beautifully together. Hold onto those that are true for they surely are precious!
As we grow up we realise it becomes less imprortant to have more friends and more imprortant to have real ones....am with you on this Jo...
